PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diagnostic imaging apparatus which visualizes the inside of a sentinel lymph node so as to accurately, simply and rapidly identify and diagnose the sentinel lymph node to be subjected to an examination of the presence or absence of metastasis of a cancer cell, by noninvasively and safely performing the imaging and clear visualization of even the whole image, an internal structure and internal movement of a lymph flow over a prolonged period of time.SOLUTION: The diagnostic imaging apparatus 1 visualizing the inside of the sentinel lymph node 21 displays an image of a lymphatic system subjected to the inflow and outflow of a sentinel lymph node imaging agent. The diagnostic imaging apparatus includes: an irradiator 12 which irradiates the tissue 22 of the lymphatic system and its vicinity with ultrasonic waves or electromagnetic waves a receiver 13 which receives the resonant waves or reflected waves of the ultrasonic waves or electromagnetic waves in the lymphatic system a data converter 15 which turns received signals of the resonant waves and the reflected waves into image data by an image processing circuit 17 and an image display unit 18 which displays the image data as an image of the lymphatic system on the display unit 18.
