PURPOSE: A device for pressing garbage is provided to prevent environmental contamination because clean energy can be used and to remarkably reduce running costs. CONSTITUTION: A device for pressing garbage comprises a frame (11), a collecting trash can (13), a pressing plate (20), a pressure driving unit (30), and a solar power unit. The frame forms a frame of the appearance. The collecting trash can is arranged in the lower part of the frame and the top is opened. The pressing plate is ascended/descended through the opened top of the collecting trash can. The pressure driving unit ascends/descends the pressing plate.
