Process of Synthesis of an Iodized Compound and Use of Other Cardanol Derivatives as Larvicides for Population Control of the Aedes aegypti Mosquito and Other Culicides The present invention describes the process of synthesis of larvicides for the control of mosquitoes causing diseases such as yellow fever, dengue fever, chikungunya and Zika virus, among other species of the subgenus stegomyia, characterized by employing biomass in its constitution, namely cardanol constituting the cashew nut liquid. This invention is constituted by procedures of low environmental impact to generate products of varied besides biodegradable properties. cardanol which is a mixture of 3 - ((z) -tetradec-7-enylphenol, 3 - ((7z, 10) -tetradec-7,10-dienyl) phenol, 3 - ((7z, 10z) - tetradec-7,10-trienyl) phenol from processed cashew nut liquid (technical lcc) are used as starting materials to react with epichlorohydrin, leading to the production of halohydrins and epoxy ethers.
