PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chemical-volatilizing device for preventing invasion of a cockroach, which can not only prevent the invasion of the cockroach or the like to a space around the device by stably holding an effective concentration of the chemical in a comparatively low concentration over a using period regardless of intermittently volatilizing the volatile chemical over a long period, but also have an excellent safety degree to human beings and pets, and is advantageous in the point of saving of a driving power source.SOLUTION: The chemical-volatilizing device for preventing the invasion of the cockroach includes a driving device for volatilizing the volatile chemical from a carrier of the chemical, carrying the volatile chemical by centrifugal force or wind power caused by a fan. The device prevents the invasion of the cockroach into the space by intermittently driving the driving device so that the ratio of the driving time to the stopping time may be from 1:5 to 1:30, and the once driving time may be 0.5-5 min, to hold the effective concentration of the volatile chemical stably in the space from the start of the use to the finish of the use.
