The present invention relates to a novel liquid delivery carrier comprising a specific grade of glyceryl caprylate and PEG-40 hydrogenated castor oil in particular amounts. This carrier can be loaded with slightly or poorly water soluble substances and filled into hard gelatin capsule shells for final administration to a subject. Also disclosed are filling compositions comprising such delivery carrier and hard gelatin capsules filled with the carrier and the composition of the invention.
