Provided is an instrument for producing kakiage (shrimp/vegetable fritter) by which a thick kakiage can be easily and efficiently produced. The instrument for producing kakiage is provided with a kakiage-containing part (2), said kakiage-containing part (2) comprising a cylindrical mold (5), in which a plurality of through-holes (7) are formed and arranged, and a disc-shaped base plate (6) which is fixed to an opening at the bottom end of the mold (5) and in which a plurality of first through-holes (8) with large diameter and a plurality of second through-holes (9) with small diameter are alternately formed and arranged. The diameter of the base plate (6) is smaller than the inner diameter of the mold (5) so that a gap (11) with a preset width is formed between the inner circumferential surface at the bottom end of the mold (5) and the periphery of the base plate (6). A kakiage dough is put into the kakiage-containing part (2) that is located in an oil tank and then heated until the surface of the kakiage dough (12) seems crispy and fried. Then, the kakiage-containing part (2) is dropped down in the oil tank. Thus, the kakiage dough is discharged upward from the kakiage-containing part (2) and floated in the oil tank.
