PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the operability of an ultrasonic diagnostic system by the icon displayed on a screen following current applications and diagnostic modes.SOLUTION: This system is equipped with an ultrasonic probe to come into contact with a subject, an ultrasonic transmission/reception means to make the ultrasonic probe transmit or receive ultrasonic waves, an image processing means to generate ultrasonic images using a reflex echo signal from the ultrasonic transmission/reception means, an image display means to display the ultrasonic images, a control means to control these components and an operation means where instructions from the control means are input. The image display means displays one or more icon pieces for giving the control means specified instructions.
