The device (1) has upper and lower cases assemblies (100, 200) receiving a part of a container (5) i.e. syringe, that carries a product i.e. medicine. The container is movable between initial, insertion and final positions, when the container is received inside the case assemblies. An injection needle has a tip that extends/does not extend beyond a distal end (5a) of the assembly (200) in the insertion and the initial positions, respectively. The needle is contained inside the case assemblies in the final position. Ratchet connections (110, 210) connect the case assemblies.
