An ear protector (1) with a sound damping filter (3) comprises a membrane (5) composed of a material enabling water vapour molecules to be transported through the membrane from the inside to the outside of the ear protector by way of absorption and evaporation process and preventing the transmission of water from the outside to the inside of the ear. The membrane is composed of non-porous material permitting the transmission of air with respect to the ear from the outside (9) to the inside (8) of the ear protector.
