Disclosed is an air cleaner, which uses light supplied through an optical fiber to kill harmful microorganisms collected in a filter, such as germs, viruses, and fungi, or decompose contaminants adsorbed to the filter. An air cleaner according to the present invention includes: an air cleaning filter, which includes a porous structure through which air passes in a thickness direction thereof, and at least one optical fiber disposed in the porous structure and having an end part exposed through an end part of the porous structure, wherein a portion of light collected at the end part of the optical fiber and propagating in a longitudinal direction of the optical fiber is emitted through the surface of the optical fiber； a filter installation part disposed on a portion of a body of the air cleaner and accommodating the air cleaning filter to be attachable and detachable； and a light source part fixed to a portion of the body of the air cleaner and emitting light including ultraviolet rays toward the end part of the optical fiber.광섬유를 통해 공급된 광을 이용하여 필터에 포집된 세균, 진균, 바이러스 등의 유해 미생물을 살균하거나 흡착된 오염물질을 분해하는 공기청정기가 개시된다. 본 발명에 따른 공기청정기는, 두께 방향으로 공기가 투과할 수 있는 다공성 구조물과, 상기 다공성 구조물 내에 배치되고 상기 다공성 구조물의 단부를 통해 노출된 일 단부에서 수광되어 길이 방향을 따라 진행하는 광의 일부가 그 표면을 통해 발산되는 적어도 하나의 광섬유를 포함하는 공기정화용 필터； 공기청정기 몸체 일부에 배치되고, 상기 공기정화용 필터가 장착 및 분리될 수 있도록 수용하는 필터 장착부； 및 상기 공기청정기 몸체 일부에 고정 배치되고, 상기 적어도 하나의 광섬유의 단부를 향해 자외선을 포함하는 광을 조사하는 광원부를 포함한다.
