This disclosure is directed to a catheter having a basket-shaped electrodeassembly formed from a plurality of spines, each with a plurality ofelectrodes. Thespines are connected at their distal ends and extend through the catheter bodyto itsproximal end. Each spine may be independently controlled, such as by adjustingitslongitudinal position relative to the catheter body to causes it to bowoutwards to agreater or lesser degree.
