PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin-diameter optical unit 1 for endoscopes facilitating the manufacture and having a light-shielding function.SOLUTION: An optical unit 1 for endoscopes includes: optical elements 10-30 including respectively optical paths 11-31 and peripheral parts 12-32 and spacers 50A and 50B disposed between the optical elements 10-30 respectively. The peripheral parts 12-32 include through grooves T10-T30, and the trough grooves T10-T30 are so disposed that light-shielding walls 61-63 disposed therein and composed of a light-shielding material prevent external light from rectilinearly entering the optical paths 11-31.
