The present invention relates to a composition for inhibiting aging of hippocampus containing gintonin as an active component. Gintonin according to the present invention has an effect that can be useful in inhibiting or reducing the aging of hippocampus induced by D-gal by antioxidant action in addition to the physiological activity according to the LPA receptor activity.본 발명은 진토닌을 유효성분으로 함유하는 해마의 노화 억제용 조성물에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 진토닌은 LPA 수용체 활성에 따른 생리활성 작용 외에 항산화 작용에 의하여 D-gal에 의해 유도된 해마의 노화를 억제 또는 감소하는데 유용하게 사용될 수 있는 효과가 있다.
