The present invention relates to a device for ultrasound imaging comprising an ultrasound transducer (102, 202, 302, 402, 502) for acquiring ultrasound images, a first holder (204, 312, 410, 510) for mechanically holding the ultrasound transducer and allowing movement of the ultrasound transducer through movement of the first holder, and a second holder (212, 214, 308, 404, 506, 512) for mechanically holding the first holder and/or the ultrasound transducer and for guiding and/or restricting movement of the ultrasound transducer through movement of the first holder. This provides a precise, reliable, fast and cost effective measurement of tissue layer boundaries of a body and/or estimation of the total fat mass and/or fat-free mass of a body.La présente invention concerne un dispositif déchographie comprenant un transducteur à ultrasons (102, 202, 302, 402, 502) destiné à acquérir des images échographiques, un premier support (204, 312, 410, 510) pour mécaniquement supporter le transducteur à ultrasons et permettre le mouvement du transducteur à ultrasons par le mouvement du premier support, et un second support (212, 214, 308, 404, 506, 512) pour mécaniquement supporter le premier support et/ou le transducteur à ultrasons et pour guider et/ou restreindre le mouvement du transducteur à ultrasons par le mouvement du premier support.
