Bucco-dental appliance (1) for immobilizing the mandible in protrusion with respect to the maxilla, in the form of an inverted channel-section (10) with the opening downwards and covering the mandible, closed on the sides by an internal lateral wall (6) and an external lateral wall (7) and closed at the top by an inter-wall (11), the appliance (1) comprising an anterior part (2) and two, right (4) and left (3), lateral parts towards the rear and comprising an upper face (8) intended to face the occlusal faces of the teeth of the maxilla. The appliance (1) comprises two upwardly-extending fins (5) arising from the upper face (8), each fin (5) being in the region of connection between the anterior part (2) and the corresponding right (4) or left (3) lateral part, and extending along the mandibular arch over a determined width, the fins (5) comprising an interior face (9) facing toward the inside of the mouth and intended to come to bear against the vestibular faces of the teeth of the maxilla in order to immobilize the mandible in protrusion. The appliance may also allow the immobilization of the occlusion in a raised elevation.
