The present invention relates to an animal feed additive composition for use in poultry industries. These compositions include extracts of Catharanthus and Allium in specific weight percentages. The present invention further relates to a process for the preparation of such compositions. In different embodiments of the present disclosure, compositions can be including 1% to 5% by weight of extracts of each of catharanthus roseus, allium sativum and allium cepa in different combinations. These compositions can be administered to animals with or without water. These compositions can be solid or liquid and can be used to replace dl-methionine supplements.
