PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a granular medical treatment material which is suitable as a wound-coating material, has both proper water absorbability and high water resistance, and has high wound-curing effect, and to provide a method for producing the same.SOLUTION: The granular composite material includes chitosan and β-glucan. Preferably, the granular composite material comprises 100 pts.mass of the chitosan and 1-3,000 pts.mass of the β-glucan.
