PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a three-dimensional panoramic image in which such a distortion that magnification rates differ for each portion in the same tooth row is solved.SOLUTION: A panoramic imaging apparatus comprises an X-ray tube 31 which emits an X-ray as a radiation, a detector 32 which outputs frame data of a digital electricity amount corresponding to the X-ray when the X-ray is incident, movement means 23, 24 which move a pair of the X-ray tube 31 and the detector 32 with respect to a subject, and means 12 for collecting the frame data output from the detector while the pair of the X-ray tube and the detector is moved, reconstructs a tomogram image focusing on a 3D reference tomographic surface as a panoramic image (reference panoramic image) with a data processing apparatus, and creates a reference three-dimensional image and a three-dimensional autofocus image, thereby optimizing the focus of an imaged portion of the subject and creating the optimized focus image on which the actual size and shape of the imaged portion are reflected.【課題】同一の歯列で拡大率が部分毎に異なるような歪みを解消した３次元パノラマ画像を提供する。【解決手段】パノラマ撮像装置は、放射線としてのＸ線を放出するＸ線管３１、Ｘ線が入射したときに当該Ｘ線に対応したデジタル電気量のフレームデータで出力する検出器３２、それらの対を被検体に対して移動させる移動手段２３，２４を備える。このパノラマ装置は更に、Ｘ線管と検出器の対を移動させている間に、検出器から出力されるフレームデータを収集する手段１２を備える。データ処理装置により、３Ｄ基準断層面に焦点を当てた断層像をパノラマ画像（基準パノラマ画像）として再構成し、基準３次元画像及び３次元オートフォーカス画像を作成する。これにより被検体の撮像部位の焦点を最適化し、かつ、当該撮像部位の実際の大きさ及び形状を反映させた最適焦点画像が作成される。【選択図】図１
