PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide controlled release fertilizer composition which exhibit release characteristics such that nutrients release from the fertilizer compositions in accordance with a Gaussian release rate curve essentially matching the growth rate pattern of plants to which the fertilizer is applied, and include a single coating layer for releasing nutrients in accordance with an S-type or sigmoid curve so as to provide nutrients in accordance with the specific nutrient requirements of the plants to which the fertilizer is applied.SOLUTION: A controlled release fertilizer composition comprises a granular nutrient core material comprising at least one water soluble fertilizer compound, and a substantially water-insoluble coating applied on the core material. The fertilizer composition is structured from the coating consisting of a single layer of a uniform, substantially continuous polymer film, and furthermore, the coating without any additives incorporated therein.【課題】肥料を施用される植物の成長率パターンと本質的に調和するガウス分布の放出率曲線に従って肥料組成物から養分を放出するような放出特性を示し、肥料を施された植物の特定の養分要求に従って養分を与えるようにＳ－型つまりＳ字状曲線に従って養分を放出する単一被覆層を備える放出制御された肥料組成物を提供する。【解決手段】少なくとも１つの水溶性の肥料組成物から成る粒状のコア材と、前記コア材上に施される実質的に水に不溶な被覆層とを有し、しかも前記被覆層は、その中に一体な付加物が含まれておらず、一層であって均一な実質的に連続する高分子フィルムから構成される肥料組成物。【選択図】図２
