An apparatus, method and system are provided for sensing at least one biometric measure of an individual. A low voltage pulsed electrical charge is applied to a transparent electrode plate, which is dimensioned to receive a portion of an individuals dermal surface having molecules associated therewith. The pulsed electrical charge stimulates and excites the molecules and causes molecular compounds to fluoresce. An image of the fluoresced dermal surface is obtained and a biometric function is performed with data derived from the image.
