PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water activity reducing agent having a high effect for reduction of water activity, which improves the shelf life of a food product.SOLUTION: The water activity reducing agent includes two or more specific saccharides selected from four saccharides i.e. sorbitol (A), glucose (B), xylitol (C), and erythritol (D).
