PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily detect the motion of pointing at a moving object or gazing at the object by capturing the pointing motion or gazing motion as a static motion to the environment.SOLUTION: The motion detector 10 includes a computer 12 and a position coordinate acquisition system 20 to detect such indicating motions as the pointing motion and gazing motion. The computer 12 acquires positions of two points (a control point and a motion point) of body regions of a subject for prescribing the indicated direction of indicating motions, and positions of a plurality of reference points set in the environment by using the position coordinate acquisition system 20. If there is a reference point where the relation among the relative positions of the three points of the control point, motion point and reference point is fixed, the indicating motion of the subject is detected. In other words, the indicating motion of the subject is detected by capturing the indicating motions such as the pointing motion and gazing motion as the static motion to an object (or to the environment).COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT【構成】 動作検出装置10は、コンピュータ12および位置座標取得システム20を含み、指差し動作や注視動作などの指示動作を検出する。コンピュータ12は、指示動作の指示方向を規定するための被験者の身体部位の2点(基準点および動作点)の位置、および環境に設けた複数の参照点の位置を位置座標取得システム20によって取得する。そして、基準点、動作点および参照点の3点の相対位置の関係が一定となる参照点が存在するとき、被験者の指示動作を検出する。つまり、指差し動作や注視動作などの指示動作を、或る対象(または環境)に対する静止動作として捉えることにより、被験者の指示動作を検出する。【効果】 指差し動作や注視動作を環境に対する静止動作として捉えるので、動いている対象を指差したり、注視したりしている場合にもその動作を簡単に検出できる。【選択図】 図1
