PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized and highly precise finger vein authentication device which can be applied to a small-sized information processor such as a portable telephone and an information processor using this device.SOLUTION: This finger vein authentication device includes a light source for irradiating the finger with the rays of light an imaging element for picking up a vein image by the rays of light which are diffused in the finger and transmitted through the cushion side of the finger, and an image processing part for processing the pickup image.
