PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stairway elevator that can safely ascend a stairway.SOLUTION: A stairway elevator 1 comprises a correction position computing unit 762 for computing a correction position to change the position of a chair 32 on a mounting part 30 from a basic position toward a wall side of the stairway.
