PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a harvester for root vegetables allowing prevention of movement of a housing container for housing crops during housing of the crops, and movement thereof to a storing pedestal with small force when completing the housing of the crops.SOLUTION: The harvester for root vegetables includes: an uprooting and transporting device 24 installed for uprooting the crops from a field and then transporting the crops to the upper rear a separating and transporting device 87 provided for taking over the crops from the uprooting and transporting device 24, transporting the crops, and separating the transported crops with an operator a mounting part 97 installed for mounting a housing member 93 for housing the crops discharged from the separating and transporting device 87 and a storing part 103 provided for storing the housing member 93 after completing the housing of the crops in the mounting part 97.
