PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paddy field work machine having an appropriate configuration which does not generate such a state that a ground levelling device (ground levelling body) is driven to be rotated at a non-work position in supporting the ground levelling device in a front part of a ground work device so as to be freely lifted and lowered.SOLUTION: A transmission mechanism 75 transmitting power to a ground levelling device 53 includes: a clutch mechanism 45 capable of transmitting and cutting off the power and an energization mechanism 14 energizing the clutch mechanism 45 to a cut-off state. When the ground leveling device 53 is driven to be lowered to a work position A3 by an actuator, lowering actuation of the ground leveling device 53 is transmitted to the clutch mechanism 45 and the clutch mechanism 45 is operated into a transmission state against the energization mechanism 14.
