PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To acquire a tomographic image the fundus by optimally adjusting photographing conditions.SOLUTION: A fundus photographing apparatus includes an interference optical system that causes a detector to detect an interference state between measurement light reflected from the fundus of an examinees eye and reference light, and captures a tomographic image of the fundus of the examinees eye on the basis of an output signal from the detector.
