A catheter apparatus, including: - an elongated tubular shaft having a proximal part and a distal part； and - a therapeutic unit located on the distal portion of the elongated trunk and adapted to be placed in a target area within the renal artery of a human patient, where the therapeutic unit includes a support structure comprising: a control element having a predetermined spiral shape, where the control element is a tubular structure containing a cavity passing through it and consisting of a nitinol multifilament twisted wire； and - a plurality of energy-delivering elements carried by the supporting structure, wherein the elongated tubular barrel and the therapeutic unit together define a cavity for the wire guide element designed to receive when sliding the medical wire guide element； and - where the axial movement of the wire guide element relative to the therapeutic unit transforms the supporting structure between (a) the low-profile delivery configuration and (b) the expanded configuration, leading to the adoption of a predefined spiral shape of the control element. The catheter apparatus of claim 1, wherein the therapeutic unit is designed to transform between a low-profile delivery configuration and a deployed configuration, while at least the distal portion of the wire guide element remains in the cavity of the wire guide element of the therapeutic block.
