The present invention is an organopolysiloxane shown by the following average composition formula (1),wherein each of R1 independently represents a monovalent hydrocarbon group having 1 to 12 carbon atoms R2 represents any of a hydrogen atom, a monovalent hydrocarbon group having 1 to 15 carbon atoms, and a monovalent acyl group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms "n" represents an integer of 0 to 1000 "m" represents 2 or 3 "X" represents a divalent hydrocarbon group having 2 to 15 carbon atoms Y represents C-CH2-CH3 when "m" represents 2, while representing a carbon atom when "m" represents 3 "s" represents an integer of 0 to 100 "t" represents an integer of 0 to 50 and "z" represents an integer of 0 to 50. There can be provided an organopolysiloxane which can give a cosmetic which has excellent emulsion stability, temporal stability, and cosmetic durability, and in addition, an organopolysiloxane which has excellent dispersion properties to powders.
