The invention relates to a minimal amount powder dosing device (1), in particular for pharmaceutical or chemical applications, for dosing powder volumes of less than 1 cm3, preferably of less than 150 mm3, comprising a dosing chamber (3) which is delimited by a peripheral wall (9) and can be connected to a vacuum source (28) for drawing in the powder for filling the dosing chamber (3) with powder to be dosed, wherein filter means for retaining powder in the dosing chamber (3) during an intake process are associated with the dosing chamber (3). According to the invention, the filter means comprise at least one intake opening (12, 13) which is formed in the peripheral wall (9) for retaining the powder in the dosing chamber (3) and through which the dosing chamber (3) can be supplied with a vacuum. The invention further relates to a method for dosing minimal quantities of powder using a minimal amount powder dosing device (1) according to the invention. Figure 1
