PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a beverage suppressed in unfavorable smell inherent in corn peptide.
SOLUTION: The beverage is obtained by adding corn peptide, and at least one kind of polymer compounds selected from the group consisting of ester of alginic acid and polyhydric alcohol, a polyoxyethylene-polypropylene copolymer, polyvinylpyrrolidone and a (meth)acrylic acid ester copolymer whose (meth)acrylic acid ester-ester residue contains nitrogen.
