PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a sustained-release composition which contains a physiologically active substance in a high content even without containing gelatin and suppresses its initial-stage excessive release to stabilize its release rate for about a month.
SOLUTION: The sustained-release composition contains the physiologically active substance and a lactic acid-glycolic acid copolymer with a ratio of weight-average molecular weight to number-average molecular weight of about 1.90 or less or its salt.
