PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a linear motion expandable actuator on which a strain sensor is easily mounted, and which achieves an improved signal-noise ratio.
SOLUTION: The linear motion expandable actuator 1 includes a tube 2 which expands and contracts in the long axial direction, and the strain sensor 3 having an elastic body 4 for covering an outer circumferential surface of the tube 2 along a circumferential direction to detect expansion/contraction strain in a circumferential direction of the tube 2.
