A computer implemented system is disclosed for automatically generating a mowing timetable for an automatic lawnmower. The system being arranged to obtain information identifying a location, and optionally size, of an area to be mowed by the automatic lawnmower； obtain information regarding predicted future weather conditions, and optionally past weather conditions, at the location of the area. The system may then calculate a mowing timetable for the automatic lawnmower, comprising a mowing duration for each of a number of days, based upon the location and size of the area to be mowed by the automatic lawnmower and the past and predicted future weather conditions.
