An implant device for a heart having a first chamber and a second chamber and a native valve between the chambers, the device having an elongate body having opposing ends, the body being configured to be implanted within the heart and extend through the native valve with a first end in the first chamber and a second end in the second chamber a first resiliently compressible part of the body being adapted to be compressively engaged by the heart within the first chamber and a second resiliently compressible part of the body being adapted to be compressively engaged by the heart within the second chamber so that the first and second parts hold the elongate body in a desired position within the heart by said compressive engagement. The device can be employed as a prosthetic device replace or supplement a native valve such as the mitral valve.La présente invention concerne un dispositif de type implant pour le cœur, doté dune première cavité, dune seconde cavité, et dune valvule native entre lesdites cavités. Ledit dispositif comporte un corps allongé pourvu dextrémités en regard, ledit corps étant conçu pour être implanté à lintérieur du cœur et pour sétendre à travers la valvule native avec une première extrémité dans la première cavité et une seconde extrémité dans la seconde cavité. Une première partie du corps, compressible élastiquement, est conçue pour venir en contact de manière compressive avec le cœur dans la première cavité. Une seconde partie du corps, compressible élastiquement, est conçue pour venir en contact de manière compressive avec le cœur dans la seconde cavité. Ainsi, les première et seconde parties maintiennent le corps allongé dans une position souhaitée à lintérieur du cœur par lintermédiaire dudit contact compressif. Ledit dispositif peut être utilisé en tant que prothèse pour remplacer ou compléter une valvule native telle que la valvule mitrale.
