The present invention provides non-fungal nanoparticles composed of a C8-C28 fatty acid or derivative thereof, a surfactant and any lipid. The non-fungal nanoparticles of the present invention have a remarkable antimicrobial activity against microorganisms such as bacteria and fungi.
