PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mowing sickle the user of which can mow weed without assuming a half sitting pose to bend his knees to lower the pose or a squat pose thereby reducing the burden to the lower half of the body and besides can mow the weed efficiently.SOLUTION: The handle 1 of a mowing sickle is adjusted into a length with which the user can use it in a standing position, and an edge plate 2, which forms a cutting edge for mowing weed, is made roughly falcate, and also the inner bay side and the outer bay side of the edge plate 2 are provided with the first cutting edges 3 and the second cutting edges 4 shaped like saw teeth with each edge tip 5 directed toward the base of the edge plate 2, and besides for the first cutting edges 3, the directions of the edges make obtuse angles to the axis of the handle 1, and also for the second cutting edge 4 the directions of the edges make acute angles to the axis of the handle 1.COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT【目的】腰を落として姿勢を低くする中腰姿勢やしゃがんだ姿勢になることなく雑草を刈り取ることができて足腰への負担を大に軽減することができ、且つ、草刈り鎌を使用する使用者が、効率よく雑草を刈り取ることができる草刈り鎌を提供できるようにする。【解決手段】草刈り鎌における柄1を使用者が立ち姿で使用可能な長さに調整し、雑草刈り取り用の切り刃を形成する刃板2を平たい略三日月状にすると共に該刃板2の内湾側および外湾側に、各刃先5を刃板2の基部側に向けた鋸歯状の第一の切り刃3と第二の切り刃4をそれぞれ設け、且つ、第一の切り刃3は、該刃の向きが柄1の軸線に対して鈍角をなし、また第二の切り刃4は、該刃の向きが柄1の軸線に対して鋭角をなすように構成する。【選択図】 図1
