PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aerosol for cockroach, which contains imiprothrin, does not reduce knockdown activity two weeks after treatment in a residual effect test and is suitable for residual spraying.
SOLUTION: The aerosol contains 0.05-2.0 w/v% of imiprothrin and has a reduction ratio of knockdown activity two weeks after treatment in a residual effect test to knockdown activity immediately after treatment of &le30%. In a preferable embodiment, the aerosol for cockroach comprises 4.0-30 w/v% of a higher fatty acid ester compound having a total carbon number of 16-19 as a knockdown activity retention agent of imiprothrin in an amount of 15-80 times as much as imiprothrin, uses a 2-3C lower alcohol as a solvent, is packed with a compressed gas as a propellant and has an average spray particle diameter of 50-150 &mu.
