PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems that mowed grass remains on the upper surface of a cutting blade by only right and left movement of the cutting blade parallel to the ground surface and mowed grass is wound around the central part of the upper surface of the cutting blade caused by the mowed grass.SOLUTION: The bush cutter has the cutting blade attached to the tip of a support rod having a base end part mounted on the driving source of the bush cutter in which power of the driving source is transmitted through a power transmission means inserted into the support rod to the cutting blade. A cockscomb-shaped projection reaching the vicinity of a cutting blade notch of the cutting blade on the extended line of the support rod is provided on the support rod through an allowed smallest gap from the surface of the cutting blade so that mowed grass is shaken off by only right and left movement of the cutting blade parallel to the ground surface and winding of mowed grass around the central part of the upper surface of the cutting blade is prevented.【課題】解決しようとする問題点は、刈刃を地面と平行に左右に移動させるだけでは刈刃の上面に刈草が残ることと、その刈草が原因して刈刃の上面中心部に刈草が巻き付くことにある。【解決手段】刈払機の駆動源に基端部が取り付けられた支持ロッドの先端に刈刃が取り付けられ、支持ロッド内を挿通した動力伝達手段を介して前記駆動源の動力が前記刈刃に伝達される刈払機であって、支持ロッドの延長線上における刈刃の刈刃切欠の近傍に達する鶏冠状の突起を刈刃表面と小許の隙間を介して支持ロッドに設けることにより、刈刃を地面と平行に左右に移動させるだけで刈草を振るい落とすことができ、刈刃の上面中心部に刈草が巻き付くことを防止できる。【選択図】図1
