Cyclodextrin-Based Polymers for Providing Covalently-Linked Therapeutic Agents The present invention relates to novel compositions of cyclodextrin-containing therapeutic polymeric compounds designed as a carrier for the delivery of small molecule therapeutic substances and their pharmaceutical compositions. more specifically, therapeutic / bioactive agents are covalently linked to cyclodextrin-containing polymers. These cyclodextrin-containing polymers improve drug stability and solubility and reduce the toxicity of the small molecule therapeutic agent when used in vitro. In addition, by selecting from a variety of linking groups and targeting binders, the polymers provide methods for the controlled delivery of therapeutic agents. The invention also relates to methods for treating patients with the therapeutic compositions described herein.
