PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optimum value in imaging scan by collecting echo information reflecting a desired parameter of a pulse sequence before imaging of the imaging scan.SOLUTION: The magnetic resonance imaging apparatus includes: a preparation image generation means for generating a plurality of preparation images corresponding to mutually different parameter amounts for the parameter of the pulse sequence to be used in imaging scan on the basis of data collected by preparation scan and an imaging scan execution means for reflecting the parameter amount of the specified preparation image on the imaging scan and executing the imaging scan reflecting the parameter amount.
