A training apparatus for teaching to walk is intended for restoring walking skills which have been lost or undeveloped for any reason, that is, for rehabilitating patients suffering from impaired mobility. The present invention is comprised of a support rail having, movably provided on same, carriages with rollers, and having controllable displacement mechanisms and pulleys, and also contains a mechanism for unloading the weight of the patient, sensors of training session parameters, a control computer and a data transmission network. The present invention differs from the known prototype in providing a support rail, in the design of the displacement mechanisms and of the mechanism for unloading the weight of the patient, in the presence of encoder sensors, a source of compressed air, and a pneumatic distributor for said source, and also in the originality of a patient's harness being suspended by three cords, the middle portions of which are positioned on carriage pulleys.
