The present invention relates to a composition containing osmotin as an active ingredient for improving cognitive function. More specifically, in an Aβ-induced neurodegenerative mouse model administered with osmotin, Aβ-induced memory impairment and synapse toxicity are improved Aβ accumulation, BACE-1 overexpression and tau hyperphosphorylation are suppressed and Aβ-induced apoptosis and neurodegeneration are mitigated, and thus osmotin can be favorably used as an active ingredient of the composition for improving cognitive function.La présente invention concerne une composition contenant de losmotine comme principe actif pour améliorer la fonction cognitive. Plus particulièrement, chez un modèle de souris neurodégénératif induit par Aβ administré par de losmotine, la toxicité synaptique et un trouble de la mémoire induits par Aβ sont améliorés laccumulation de Aβ, la surexpression de BACE-1 et lhyperphosphorylation de tau sont éliminés et lapoptose et la neurodégénération induites par Aβ sont atténuées, et losmotine peut donc être utilisée de façon favorable comme principe actif de la composition pour améliorer la fonction cognitive.본 발명은 오스모틴(osmotin)을 유효성분으로 함유하는 인지기능 개선용 조성물에 관한 것으로, 구체적으로 오스모틴을 투여한 Aβ 유도 신경퇴행 마우스 모델에서 Aβ에 의한 기억 손상 및 시냅스독성이 개선되고, Aβ의 축적, BACE-1의 과발현 및 tau 과인산화가 억제되며, Aβ에 의한 세포사멸 및 신경퇴행이 완화되므로, 상기 오스모틴을 인지 기능 개선용 조성물의 유효성분으로 유용하게 사용할 수 있다.
