PURPOSE: A composition containing kelp and a sodium butyrate solution or powder as active ingredients is provided to enhance an anti-obesity effect and to be used in pharmaceutical products and foods for suppressing obesity. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating obesity contains: kelp which is prepared by pulverizing kelp and spray-drying the kelp at 70-90 °；C for 7-9 hours； and a sodium butyrate solution which is prepared by adding 0.02-0.06 vol% of sodium butyrate to distilled water, as active ingredients. A food for preventing or treating obesity contains the kelp and the sodium butyrate solution as active ingredients.본 발명은 다시마 및 부티르산 나트륨(sodium butyrate) 용액 또는 분말을 유효성분으로 함유하는 비만 치료 또는 예방용 약학조성물 및 비만 예방 또는 개선용 식품에 관한 것이다.
