The purpose of the present invention is to provide a method and an apparatus for generating an ultrasound image having enhanced quality. More specifically, the present invention relates to the method and apparatus for generating the ultrasound image having enhanced quality, by clarifying a distinction between an ultrasound signal for an object and a noise, through a decompression process, for changing the size of a signal according to the obtained position and an ultrasound response signal on a scan line.
