PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a double-bearing type reel for fishing, capable of improving durability in addition by reducing a load acting on a bearing (ball bearing) while improving the free-rotating performance of a spool.SOLUTION: In a double-bearing type reel for fishing, a relational expression of 0.159≤φB/φA≤0.260 is established, wherein φA is the average diameter of a winding area S of a spool 5, and φB is the outer diameter of an outer ring 7a of a ball bearing 7. A relational expression of 0.694≤L1/L≤0.780 is also established, wherein L is the distance from an inner peripheral surface 32 of a winding drum portion 5b of the spool 5 on which a fishing line is wound to the central axis O of a spool shaft 5a, and L1 is the length of a thin rim 5d radially extending from the spool shaft 5a side to connect the outer peripheral surface of a spool shaft support portion 5c fixing the spool shaft 5a to the inner peripheral surface 32 of the winding drum portion 5b.COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT【課題】スプールのフリー回転性能の向上を図りつつ軸受(ボールベアリング)に作用する負荷を低減させて耐久性の向上も図ることができる魚釣用両軸受型リールを提供する。【解決手段】本発明の魚釣用両軸受型リールは、スプール5の糸巻き領域Sの平均径をφA、ボールベアリング7の外輪7aの外径をφBとしたときに0.159≦φB/φA≦0.260の関係式が成り立つ。また、釣糸が巻回されるスプール5の巻回胴部5bの内周面32からスプール軸5aの中心軸Oまでの距離をL、スプール軸5aを固定するスプール軸支持部5cの外周面から巻回胴部5bの内周面32へ接続するようにスプール軸5a側から径方向に延びる薄肉状のリム5dの長さをL1としたときに0.694≦L1/L≦0.780の関係式が成り立つ。【選択図】図3
