A skin port connector for use in a flexible percutaneous gastrostomy tube, said flexible percutaneous gastrostomy tube having a wall wall thickness when not compressed, said skin port connector comprising: (a) a flange of skin (100) containing a channel of the through hole, said channel of the through hole (i) having a main internal surface, (ii) a dimension and middle transverse area, ends (iii) proximal and (iv) distal and (v) an axis of the central line along the longitudinal axis of the through hole channel which further comprises (vi) a circumferential flange protruding from the main internal surface in the through hole channel of the through hole in a position within the hole channel intern the circumferential flange defining a second dimension and average transverse area that are each smaller than the average transverse dimension and area of the main internal surface; (b) a coupler (110) comprising a sleeve body having a through hole and a circumferential flange protruding from the outer surface of the sleeve body, said coupler (110) having ends (i) proximal and (ii) distal and (iii) an axis of the central line that coincides with the longitudinal axis of the hole, said sleeve body having internal (iv) and (v) external surfaces and (vi) an average internal cross-sectional dimension and area defined by the internal surface and (vii) a first dimension and average external transverse area defined by the outer surface of the sleeve body and in which the circumferential flange protruding from the outer surface of the sleeve body defines (viii) a second dimension and average external transverse area ; and (c) an optional valve assembly (120) adapted to join said skin tab (100); wherein at least a part of the coupler (110) fits into the through hole channel so that the axes of the center line of the through hole channel and the coupler (110) are substantially coaxial; wherein the surface or surfaces of the circumferential flange protruding from the main internal sur
