Disclosed is the use of a liquid mineral composition for leaf spraying comprising the following formula (I): Total ammoniacal nitrogen 0.08-2 percent Potassium 3-6 percent Magnesium 0.4-0.8 percent Sodium 1-2 percent Calcium 0-0.5 percent Total sulphates 3-6 percent Total phosphorous 0 percent Chlorides 1-2 percent Bicarbonates 1.2-3 percent Boron 0.1-0.2 percent Copper 0.018-0.03 Manganese 0.00005%-0.006 percent Iodine 0.02-0.04 percent Zinc 0.00005-0.006 percent Iron 0.0002-0.003 Water in a sufficient amount to bring the composition to 100 percent. The percentages consisting of percentages by weight compared to the total weight of the composition, for improving the adaptive response of plants to a change in environmental conditions.
