PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter medium capable of efficiently removing an acid gas and an alkaline gas together with an aldehyde gas, and a filter element composed by pleating and folding the filter medium.
SOLUTION: The sheet-like filter medium is provided with a gas removal particle layer composed by connecting gas removal particles whose mean particle size is 0.147 to 1.65 mm by a thermoplastic resin.
