PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas-removing filtration medium for a filter to be mounted on air-conditioning equipment, the filtration medium being capable of efficiently removing acidic gas and aldehyde gas at a low cost to provide a composite filter and a filter element which is formed by pleatedly processing the filtration medium and the composite filter, respectively.
SOLUTION: The gas-removing filtration medium is a sheet-like material of 0.2-4 mm in thickness and has a gas-removing particle layer formed by connecting gas-removing particles of average particle size of 0.147-1.65 mm with each other with a thermosetting resin. In addition, the gas-removing particles contain potassium carbonate and/or potassium hydrogencarbonate and a compound represented by a general formula (1), the content being 0.02-20 mass%.
